A breakfast panel discussion to debate the rapid evolution of the Colombian economy and financial markets, its pace, direction and significance. Divided into three broad sections the discussions will cover the real economy, financial services and capital markets exploring questions such as: What is needed to spur economic growth and financial markets innovation and how vulnerable is Colombia to external shocks? How can the already successful and/or tier II Colombian companies access local and international capital markets in the current environment and how is the market for structured finance likely to evolve in Colombia?

The breakfast is designed for international investors to meet both the Colombian Minister of Finance and the newly-appointed Head of Public Credit in a small and interactive setting. The highlight of the breakfast will be a discussion and debate on the rapid evolution of the Colombian economy and capital markets and forthcoming direct and indirect investment opportunities. As in all our breakfast meetings, we will encourage participation from you and other guests.

Divided into two broad sections the discussions will cover Colombia’s capital markets and investment potential,

What is needed to spur economic growth and financial markets innovation and how vulnerable is Colombia to external shocks?

What are the government’s plans to solve infrastructure weaknesses? What opportunities are there for local and international players?

What is the government’s financing plan for the 2008 budget under the current local and global scenario?
