This year, LatinFinance’s editorial team analyzed several transactions across the region’s project finance space, and encountered the pleasant dilemma of many outstanding deals and strong institutions.

When deciding on categories featuring a specific transaction, the team analyzed their market significance, structural complexity, execution, secondary market performance and geographical reach.

For categories featuring institutions, the team focused on innovation, execution, the role institutions played in each transaction and the number of transactions closed within the awards selection period.

Below are the final contenders in each category, all deals and institutions that left a mark on project and infrastructure financing in the 12 months analyzed (June 1, 2017 – May 31, 2018).
